When Ocean Alexander introduced its 70e with design by Evan K. Marshall, the builder blended modern lines with an open layout. The main deck has four entertainment zones, while windows enhance the sense of volume, and a lack of forward bulkheads create clear sightlines from end to end.
Belowdecks, the 70e has a four-stateroom, three-head layout, sleeping eight people.
Standard power is twin 900 hp Volvo Penta IPS1200s. At press time there were three Ocean Alexander 70es available, ranging from $2.79 million to $2.99 million.
From the Archive
“Everything you need to know about the Ocean Alexander 70e is summed up in that ‘e’ tacked on so casually to the end of the name. It stands for Evolution, an apt descriptor for this 70-footer. But, lest you worry that Ocean Alexander has thrown the baby out with the bath water, this is still a classic OA in so many ways: solid construction, outstanding seakeeping abilities and thoughtful design. If your dad had an OA, he’ll still feel right at home.”
