Boa Vida, an Ocean Alexander 28R, is listed with MarineMax for $8.49 million. The one-owner 2021 skylounge superyacht has a four-stateroom layout, low-hour diesels, a Bahamas-friendly sub-six-foot draft and a full-time crew keeping this yacht in Bristol condition.
This 90-footer has seemingly acres of outdoor spaces to enjoy. The foredeck has a dinette set abaft a three-person sun pad, making it an excellent location to have lunch and catch some sun, or head up later in the day for sundowners. In the cockpit, there’s alfresco dining space for eight to 10 guests at the transom bench seat and fixed table, just pull up some loose chairs.
The 28R’s hydraulic swim platform doubles as the yacht’s PWC stowage, and the transom door lifts to reveal the beach club, which MarineMax says “rivals a 40m superyacht.” It has a sofa, a wet bar, a flat-screen TV and stowage for items such as towels and other beach accessories–a perfect space to retreat from the sun or to prepare to head out on the water toys.
Impressive outdoor entertainment spaces continue on the after section of the flybridge, which has a hot tub flanked by sun pads. An aft-facing L-shaped settee is positioned forward against the flybridge’s enclosure. Stepping into the skylounge, a three-seat wet bar is to starboard and an L-shaped sofa sits to port abaft the two-seat helm station.
Sole-to-ceiling windows run the length of Boa Vida’s well-appointed main-deck salon, enhancing the interior space with natural lighting. Furniture helps to define the social spaces with an L-shaped sofa that forms a cozy conversational space aft, while an eight-person formal dining table is forward. The dining table is flanked by sliding doors to enjoy warm cross breezes.
Heading past the forward bulkhead, the hallway to starboard leads to the country galley. An L-shaped dinette sits in the forward port corner of the galley. An L-shaped countertop is to starboard with a second smaller countertop abaft the dinette. The galley is also equipped with a full-size refrigerator and freezer, a dishwasher, an electric cooktop, a wine cooler, an oven, a microwave and provision space for extended voyaging.
Sleeping accommodations on board Boa Vida include an on-deck master stateroom and three guest staterooms belowdecks. The full-beam master stateroom has a king berth, a desk and en suite head with his-and-hers vanities.
The yacht’s 22-foot-5-inch beam carries well forward to her plumb bow. The extra interior space is most noticeable on the lower deck, which houses a forepeak VIP stateroom that rivals the masters on some other yachts,” Yachting previously reported.
The forepeak VIP has an island berth and the two remaining guest staterooms split the centerline amidships, each with twin berths that convert to a double berth for couples. The two-cabin crew quarters is aft and can be accessed via the beach club.
Low-hour (750) twin 1,900 hp MAN V-12 diesels power Boa Vida for a reported 21-knot top hop and an 18-knot cruise speed.
Where is Boa Vida located? The yacht is currently lying in Wrightsville Beach, North Carolina.
