Calma, a 2023 Ferretti Yachts 720 accommodates eight guests in four staterooms, plus crew quarters and is ready to cruise. The flybridge yacht is on the market with Allied Marine for $4.175 million.
“Versatile. It’s the word that came to mind as I scanned early images of the Ferretti Yachts 720’s outdoor spaces. Take the full-beam teak swim platform and transom garage, for example. Flip up the top half of the garage, and there’s stowage for a couple of Seabobs. Close that door and flip down the whole garage to reveal a sun bed. Add some carbon-fiber poles in the swim platform’s corners, and there’s a sun shade to cool off the space. Additionally, the swim platform accommodates a tender up to about 13 feet in length,” Yachting previously reported.
Calma is powered by twin 1,400 hp MAN diesels. The yacht has a max speed of 32 knots and a 27-knot cruise speed. With a 1,215-gallon fuel capacity, Calma has a 450-nautical-mile range. Calma has the following helm and navigational gear:
- Simrad multifunction displays
- Seakeeper gyrostabilizer
- Joystick controls
- 16 hp bow thruster
- Autopilot
- Electro-hydraulic power steering
- Magnetic compass
- VHF transceiver
- Generator 120/240V 21.5kW 60Hz
When it comes to outside spaces, the cockpit has bench-style seating with a table and loose chairs, all shaded by the flybridge overhang. The yacht’s foredeck has sun pads and a C-shaped settee for some quietude at the quay. Step down to the swim platform, open up the beach club and relax on a couple of sun pads right at the water’s edge.
Calma’s flybridge setup includes a C-shaped sofa with a table and a wet bar. Panoramic views included. The flybridge is partially shaded by a hardtop with a retractable sunroof, but if you want to catch a few rays, the flybridge has a few sun pads guests too.
Inside, this yacht’s salon has a sofa to starboard and L-shaped sofa with table and ottoman to port. An array of windows let natural light illuminate the space. There is formal dining for eight guests.
The galley is centrally located with an electric ceramic cooktop, microwave, refrigerator and freezer, and a bevy of cabinets with shelves for dry stowage and galley accouterments.
After a long day on the water, owners and guests can retire to one of four staterooms belowdecks. Calma’s lower deck has a master stateroom with a king-sized berth and en suite head, a VIP stateroom with a king-sized berth in the bow with an en suite head and two guest staterooms with twin-sized berths.
Allied Marine stated, “the warm, contemporary, minimalist yet detailed design provides a continual counterpoint to the walk-in wardrobe and the grand bathroom, where the smoked-glass inserts and functionality of form are in tune with current trends. The winning style of this desirable new model is based on a blend of contrasting textures. The striped ceiling, the ribbed surface of the walls, the grid-pattern headboards and the lounge furniture’s oblique-stripe motif play off one another in a profound natural harmony.”
Where is Calma located? The yacht is currently lying in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
