Amanecer is a 2009 Azimut 105 that previously saw duty as a charter yacht and is on the market with MarineMax for $5.5 million. The motoryacht accommodates 10 guests in five staterooms, with two crew cabins. The yacht saw refits in 2015 and 2023.
The yacht, which comes in at about 193 gross tons, is powered by twin 2,220 hp MTU diesel that provide a reported 29-knot top-end speed. This performance reportedly puts the Azimut 105 in the top 30 percent of yachts in the 30- to 35-meter size range. Cruising speed is reportedly 25 knots, but dial it back to 14 knots for a leisurely cruise and a 700-nautical-mile range.
In a previous review of the Azimut 105, Yachting reported that “A few tight S maneuvers helped the 105 show off her comfortable banking in turns, but the steering was very quick. That’s great for tight maneuvers, but it was a little too sensitive for my taste, particularly on long straight runs. It turned out to be no problem after all-there are two steering pumps and the steering sensitivity is adjustable. We cranked it down as we made the turn south, offshore from the marble quarries of Carrara, and laid down an arrow-straight wake back to Viareggio.”
Amanecer’s flybridge, which can be accessed via a staircase from the cockpit and the pilothouse, has an L-shaped settee to starboard across from the helm. An L-shaped dinette with table and chairs are also to starbard for meals with a view with another L-shaped settee with coffee table to port. A wet bar is also to port. Sun pads and lounge chairs are on the aft deck as well as a hot tub. The hardtop has a retractable sunroof.
One deck down, the cockpit has transom bench seating with a table and a few loose chairs for alfresco meals shaded by the flybridge overhang. For some quietude at the quay, head up to the foredeck with a sun pad for several friends.
This yacht is set up for those who enjoy their water toys. Opening the transom garage reveals room for a 2022 Sea-Doo PWC, three Seabobs, dive equipment for eight guests as well as three paddleboards. After a day playing on the salt, guests can shower off on the swim platform’s shower.
When it comes to the yacht’s interior styling, MarineMax stated, “World renowned interior and exterior design firm Marmol Radziner completely transformed the standard interior into a bespoke space of casual elegance with many unique custom furnishings and meticulous craftsmanship. The result is a space of pure comfort that could only be experienced on a much larger yacht. Amanecer’s elegant interior features dark wood paneling with plush slivery-white furnishings and upholstery. The open plan salon has a lounge area with sofas and chairs around a large coffee table, a small side table, and a full entertainment unit. The formal dining room includes a long, rectangular table with seating for up to eight guests.” Have your morning coffee at the C-shaped settee to port across from the main-deck helm station, take lunch on the flybridge dinette and perhaps an intimate dinner at the salon’s formal dining space.
Amanecer‘s galley is located forward of the formal dining area and equipped with a large stainless-steel refrigerator with a wine chiller and freezer drawers, cooktop, microwave and an oven. There’s a breakfast nook to port.
After a day on the water, owners can retire to the master stateroom with a king-sized berth and private ensuite head. A generous amount of stowage space is available for owners with extended cruising agendas. The ensuite has a walk-in shower, complete with rain shower and body sprayers. Guest accommodations include a VIP stateroom and three additional guest staterooms.
“In 2015, approximately $5 million was spent on a refit addressing each and every aspect of the yacht with a complete overhaul of all interior and exterior spaces as well as substantial upgrades to the ship machinery such as stabilization, shafts, props, watermakers, all HVAC air handlers, LED lighting, and superior audio/video equipment,” stated by MarineMax. In December of 2023, an additional $2 million was spent on another refit, which included main engine and generator rebuilds.
Where is Amanecer located? The yacht is currently lying in Pompano Beach, Florida.
