The Marquis 40 Sport Coupe offered a midsize entry point for enthusiasts looking to get into the Wisconsin-based brand. Marquis built 51 hulls before replacing the 40 SC with the 420 Sport Coupe, which had transom design tweaks and an added hydraulic swim platform.
Notable features: Italian design firm Nuvolari Lenard penned the 40 SC’s sleek lines. Our test vessel had 435 hp Volvo Penta IPS600 diesels.
Top speed: 35 knots.
