BoatUS has launched an online advocacy tool that’s designed to let boaters have their voices be heard on legislation that affects the marine lifestyle.
“The tool serves as a one-stop shop for federal and state recreational boating issues and gives recreational boaters the option to track relevant bills by state, find contact information for elected officials, speak to policymakers to express their views, and advocate for boating issues in their community,” according to BoatUS.
BoatUS lobbies on behalf of more than a half-million dues-paying boaters at the state and federal levels. Its goal in creating the advocacy tool is to magnify those voices at key times during debates about boating-related legislation.
