Thanks to officials in Washington state lifting Covid-19 restrictions, Westport Yachts is beginning construction on its newly tooled Westport 117 raised pilothouse motoryacht.
Work is scheduled to begin the first week of June, with the yacht expected to be completed in 2022. The build will be ABS classed and MCA compliant.
The Westport 117 has a beam of 25 feet 2 inches, and a draft of 6 feet 7 inches. There are accommodations for 10 guests, including a main-deck master stateroom, along with quarters for five crew.
According to Westport, the 117 will have a cruising speed of 20 knots with a top-end speed of 24 knots. Power is a pair of 1,900-horsepower Caterpillar C32 Acerts.
