Benetti Vision 145
After almost two years of construction and fitting out, the new Benetti Vision 145 is ready for the open ocean. Launched last Saturday, June 9th the 15th yacht of the fortunate Vision line knows how to make an entrance.
The launching ceremony, which was held at the historic Benetti yard in Darsena Italia Basin, was a spectacle fitting for a yacht of her caliber. Besides the owner and his family who flew in from Washington D.C. the highly skilled workers who built the yacht and even the CEO of the Mega-yacht division of the Azimut/ Benetti Group Vincenzo Poerio were all in attendance.
“We are particularly proud of our latest launch, the 100th fiberglass yacht built in Viareggio since 1998,” said Poerio. “This is a further demonstration of Benetti’s ability to listen to the client and interpret his specific needs; and above all, another example of a perfect blend between timeless design, world class construction, safety and an extremely high quality on-board life, both for the owner and his crew.”
After the celebration and the ceremonial breaking of a bottle of champagne across her bow, she slipped slowly down custom built ramp and into the Mediterranean.
Powered by twin 1,300 HP Caterpillar engines her top speed of 15 knots and cruising range of more then 3,500 nautical miles she can put the Darsena Italia Basin in the horizon, quickly.
