SuperYachtCup 2014
The America’s Cup foiling catamaran duels are very exciting, but the thrill of competition doesn’t end there. In fact, before the America’s Cup begins, superyachts will race in the America’s Cup Superyacht Regatta. The Regatta, as well as all other America’s Cup events, will be held in Bermuda in June.
This superyacht race is an invitational event. Sailing yachts with an 80-foot LOA or greater can compete, and entrants will be divided into classes based on their size and specifications. Racing dates are June 13-15.
The Superyacht Regatta is part of the America’s Cup Superyacht Program, which offers premium docking locations in Hamilton and in the center of the America’s Cup Village at Royal Naval Dockyard. The superyachts docked in the AC Superyacht Program receive VIP viewing with front row access to the race course, access to the Club AC (the hospitality venue) and invitations to VIP parties.
In addition to the Superyacht Regatta, other scheduled events include the J Class Regatta (June 16-20) and the Red Bull Youth America’s Cup (qualifiers: June 12-16, finals: June 20-21).
