Avon Marine is courting the luxury yacht tender market with its new Seasport Deluxe 490, a 16-foot RIB dressed in Avon white with gray trim, white upholstery and a streamline buoyancy tube surrounding a new deep-V fiberglass hull.
Avon spent some time deciphering how yacht owners use small craft and used its findings to design an impressive seating arrangement. A molded bow seat with cushion provides a haven for two, two more seats are directly forward of the split console, and there is seating aft for three.
Stowage includes an under-deck ski locker, an anchor locker and lighted bow and stern compartments.
The Seasport 490’s business side includes a console with a 12-volt socket, a fuel gauge, a voltmeter, a battery box, U-bolts, towing eyes, four pop-up cleats and twin fuel tanks with three-way selector. Courtesy lights illuminate the nonslip decks, and a portside boarding pole is standard.
