Insight Genesis, the custom map-generation tool for Lowrance, Simrad NS and B&G Zeus chartplotters, has updated its service to include Apple Mac and mobile device compatibility.
The new HTML5 architecture allows the compatibility with Apple products while continuing to make the map-creating service available to users with Microsoft Windows and Android devices. Sonar logs can now be analyzed on PC or Mac computers as well as iPhone and Android phones and tablets.
In addition, Insight Genesis now has a Web Upload tool that lets users upload sonar logs directly from their web browsers without needing a special desktop application.
“We are pleased to bring this new level of compatibility to Mac and mobile users,” Leif Ottosson, CEO of Navico, stated in a press release. “Boaters can now create maps from their own sonar logs to capture customized detail and contours for their favorite boating and fishing areas, regardless of their computing preferences.”
