Quintessence Yachts announced that a prototype of the sport version of the AM37 vessel will premier at the Monaco Yacht Show.

The original AM37 was first revealed at Milan Design Week in April by Aston Martin. Although not the first yacht with the Aston Martin name (see the AM Voyage 55 design by Luiz de Basto), this is the first yacht actually developed by Aston Martin.

Features to look forward to: A remote-controlled sliding deck. The ability to operate the air-conditioning and coffee maker from your phone or tablet. There will reportedly be voice activation capabilities and an HD integrated touch-screen system for navigation too.

Owners will also be able to choose from specialized Aston Martin hull colors, one of which will be found on the AM37 Sport that will debut in Monaco at the end of September.

AM37 vs. AM37 Sport: The AM37 will reportedly have a top speed of 44 knots. The sport version is expected to max out at 52 knots.

Netherlands-based Quintessence Yachts, alongside Aston Martin, made their first appearance in the U.S. at Monterey Car Week in August to introduce the AM37 to America.

Luxury auto brands (like Mercedes-Benz) have found a market in the marine industry and we look forward to many more designs to come.
