Amels in The Netherlands has announced the sale of a 242 Limited Editions. The buyer, with representatives from Merle Wood & Associates, signed the contract shortly before the Monaco Yacht Show.
As with other Limited Editions designs, the 242 has an exterior by Tim Heywood. Amels delivered its first 242 Limited Editions three years ago and has another in the works, ready for delivery in mid-2020.
About the newly signed buyer, Rutger Dolk of the Amels commercial team stated in a press release: “This yacht will once again show a different character to any of our previous Amels Limited Editions deliveries. The ability to adapt the proven platform to the client’s wishes is why our Limited Editions approach is working so well. The extremely comfortable and quiet platform with renowned level of quality and combined with a fast delivery creates a very attractive proposition.”
Features on board the 242 are expected to include a 4,026-square-foot owners’ deck, a swimming pool, and a full-beam spa with a 210-square-foot foldout swim platform.
What else is going on at Amels? The builder sold a 180 Limited Editions in early September. It is scheduled for delivery in spring 2019.
