Y.CO says the 180-foot Amels Elixir is available for charter starting December 10 in either the Maldives or Southeast Asia. As of this writing, the Christmas and New Year’s holidays are still available.
Elixir is a 2016 build that, because of her construction as part of the Amels Limited Editions series, allowed her owner to take delivery just eight months after signing the sale contract. He worked with exterior designer Tim Heywood and interior designer Laura Sessa on the contemporary décor — which includes Macassar ebony, bleached maple and Lalique crystal details — ahead of the yacht’s debut season in the Mediterranean.
Now, Elixir is headed east, with charter clients able to sample the features that drew the owner to the yacht. Those features include a sundeck with a hot tub, barbecue and backlit onyx bar; fold-down balconies in the master stateroom and main salon; a master stateroom steam shower; a sky lounge with a 110-inch television and a piano; and a beach club with a sauna.
Elixir accommodates 10 to 12 guests in five staterooms, and she charters with 13 crew. Noteworthy for eco-minded charter guests is that while her top speed is 15.5 knots, the yacht burns just 66 gallons of fuel per hour at 13 knots.
What’s the weekly base rate to charter Elixir this winter? It’s $275,000.
