Amels has delivered the 196-foot Madame Kate to her owner, who will use the yacht this summer in the Mediterranean before the builder displays her at the Monaco Yacht Show in September.

Tim Heywood designed this latest 199 Limited Editions yacht, which adds a unique twist from a visual perspective. Madame Kate has what Amels calls “unique pearl-effect paint” designed to turn heads in sunlight as well as to highlight sophisticated nighttime lighting above and below the waterline.

According to Amels, the owner wanted his new yacht to appear as if she is “in the spotlight.”

“Of course, the Tim Heywood design is very eye-catching and generates a lot of attention,” said owner’s representative Benoit Faure of Yachting Concept, who worked on the project with Capt. Daniel Sola and the Amels team. “But the owner has also remarked on the level of quality on board, which is exactly the giant leap up that he wanted. For example, noise and vibrations are very low. In fact, it’s better described as an absence of noise and vibrations.”

Laura Sessa handled interior design. There are bridge deck VIP suites, and the lower-deck cabins connect to a beach club, sauna, Turkish steam bath and swim platform. The owner relocated the galley from the lower deck to the main deck, and he worked with Amels to tailor outside spaces to his liking.

Other features aboard Madame Kate include a touch-and-go helipad and a forward garage that holds a 26-foot limo tender.
