Wally, which became part of the Ferretti Group in January, has introduced its first model since announcing the partnership. It’s the 48 Wallytender, with Hull No. 1 scheduled to launch in June.
“The new 48 Wallytender is proof that our Wally DNA — signature design, proven performance, fun and flexibility — continues under the partnership with Ferretti Group,” Luca Bassani, Wally’s founder, stated in a press release. “Ever since we entered the power market in 2001, the Wallytender has been a pure expression of the joy of open-air living on the sea and the sheer pleasure of day boating. Today, this concept is further enhanced by the restyled version of the original Wallytender, which we are proud to introduce to the market.”
The 48 Wallytender has larger interior volume than her predecessor, achieved by raising the freeboard while maintaining the traditional hull lines. The idea is to have a true cabin on board with a sleeping space and proper head.
On deck, the aft seating can face forward underway or face the dining table when the boat is at anchor. A hardtop protects guests from the sun, as do awnings with stowable carbon-fiber pillars. Fold-down bulwarks increase the size of the swim platform.
Standard power: It’s twin Volvo Penta IPS650 engines for a reported top speed of 38 knots.
