The Dutch yacht builder Oceanco, in partnership with designer Philippe Briand and his London-based Vitruvius Yachts brand, has just introduced Acquaintance. She is a 344-foot, 4,302-gross-ton design intended to be 20 percent more fuel efficient than other same-class superyachts.
Acquaintance can accommodate 24 guests. The 10 guest staterooms are forward on the main deck with bay windows for open sea views. Two of those staterooms are VIPs with front-facing views toward the bow. The master suite is one deck above the bridge deck and includes a private outdoor terrace.
Features include a main-deck swimming pool with a glass floor and a translucent aft glass panel, allowing the pool to be viewed from angles including through the skylight in the spa-deck ceiling below. The main-deck salon is also enclosed in glass walls, allowing guests 270-degree views.
The bridge deck has a touch-and-go helipad, and the lower deck has a beach club, cinema, gymnasium and spa. The garage on this level can hold a 39-foot tender in addition to personal watercraft and other toys.
Designed with the Briand Optimized Stretched (BOS) hull: based on years of the designer’s other work, which includes more than 12,000 sailing yachts built to date.
