Cockwells 27-foot Farouk runabout
The British boat builder Cockwells is making a serious splash in the world of luxury tenders with two recent launches and a newly announced design.
Already afloat are the 33-foot Impulsive, a custom design with an advanced joystick control system, Wi-Fi, digital television, a galley, detailed leather work and a custom wine rack, along with the 27-foot Farouk, a custom design with Picnic Boat-style lines, seating for 12 people and a top speed of 18 knots.
Coming soon is the 650SR Runabout, a 21-foot Henry Ward design with a 155-horsepower Weber engine, water jets and a top speed of 34 knots. She’ll seat four people and is being marketed as an ideal boat for water sports in style, with a shallow draft that will let the helmsman get nice and close to the shoreline to give onlookers a great view.
