Riviera Boats in Australia, Zeelander Yachts in the Netherlands and Arkin Pruva in Turkey all recently announced new models that caught our attention. Have a look for yourself, and we’ll bet you agree these are some head-turning designs.

The Riviera 6000 Sport Yacht (shown in the photo at right) is scheduled to debut this summer at the Sydney International Boat Show. She’s the largest model in the Sport Yacht fleet and features an aft galley, a sunroof, a sunken helm station (which Riviera says provides improved visibility), four guest staterooms and three bathrooms. The master is full-beam with a king-size bed and walk-in closet that doubles as access to a utility room. Standard power is a pair of 725-hp Volvo Penta IPS 950 diesels. Top speed is more than 30 knots, according to Riviera. Learn more at www.rivieraaustralia.com.

The Zeelander Yachts Z164 luxury explorer yacht represents a quantum leap in size for the builder, which currently offers a Z44H, Z55H and Z68H. The Z164 is designed for eco-friendly, long-distance cruising and, according to the builder, can cruise 11,500 nautical miles — more than half the Earth’s circumference — at 10 knots. She’s also being marketed as “almost silent” thanks to noise-reduction techniques in her construction. Visit www.zeelander.com for additional information and early renderings.

Arkin Pruva’s Tempus 90 Tempus Fugit, designed by Humphreys Yacht Design in the United Kingdom, recently made her debut in New England ahead of the summer cruising season and regattas. She competed in this month’s New York Yacht Club Annual Regatta and is scheduled to appear in the Nantucket Regatta along with the Panerai Opera House Cup and Newport Bucket later this summer. Look for her at the Newport International Boat Show in September before she heads south to attend the United States Sail Boat Show in Annapolis this October. Learn more at www.humphreysdesign.com.
