Ferretti 550
Ferretti Group CEO Alberto Galassi reviewed details of Ferretti’s three-year plan to produce 27 new models to a packed house at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show. The new models represent a nearly $55 million investment in product research and development for the group’s brands, which include Ferretti Yachts, Pershing, Riva, Itama, Mochi Craft, CRN and Ferretti Custom Line.
“We will go bigger and smaller,” Galassi said of the Navetta line, which will include a Navetta 37 debut in summer 2016.
The three-year plan is ambitious by any builder’s standard. It has already begun with six model debuts this year, including the Ferretti 550, the Ferretti 700, the Riva 88 Florida, the Riva 88 Domino, the Riva 76 Perseo and the Custom Line 108.
During first 10 months of 2015, Ferretti Group sold $99 million worth of yachts in the Americas, a 28 percent increase versus 2014. Globally, the company has sold $321 million worth of yachts, a 75 percent increase since October 2014.
As part of the builder’s three-year, 27-yacht plan, eight new models are scheduled to debut in 2016 (plus four restyled models), to be followed by nine new models from the Ferretti Group in 2017.
Another new model to come: the Riva 100 Corsaro, which will debut at the Cannes Yachting Festival in 2016. She is a wide-body design with Hull No. 1 already sold.
Yet another new model to come: the Pershing 4X, a 40-foot, entry-level design that Galassi said is “like a fighter jet because you don’t drive it. You fly it.” Pershing is also developing a 140 light alloy model to debut in 2018, and a 165-footer.
