Chamberlain Yachts has announced a $1 million drop in the asking price for the 147-foot Intermarine Balaju. She’s now being offered at $5,950,000 in Fort Lauderdale.
Balaju is a 2002 build that, for the past 12 years, has had the same captain and crew. She earned a strong reputation on the charter market and was maintained to commercial standards, completing 14 transoceanic crossings. In 2015, her exterior paint was redone, and she’s currently having two new generators installed.
According to Chamberlain, the owner is selling Balaju because he has purchased a larger yacht.
What’s the power package aboard Balaju? Twin 1,350-horsepower CAT 3508Bs, for a cruising speed of 12 knots and a top hop of 16 knots. The engines are showing 1,500 hours apiece, with an overhaul done in 2016.
