Movin Day, a 2017 Riva 88 Domino Super, accommodates eight guests, four crew, can hit 38 knots and is on the market for $5.25 million.

Allied Marine stated “Movin Day was built in GRP by Italian yard Riva and delivered in 2017 as a Riva Domino Super model. Her interior in striped rosewood with fine leathers and fabrics accommodates up to eight guests in four cabins consisting of a master suite, VIP suites, and two twins, all with entertainment centers, flatscreen televisions and en-suite bathrooms. In addition, there are quarters for up to four crewmembers.”

Movin Day can be handled by an experienced owner-operator or by a captain and crew, owners’ choice. Movin Day has a stout, 75,200-pound displacement, but this yacht can move too. The Riva 88 Domino super is a “10 percenter,” meaning its 38-knot top speed is in the top 10 percent by speed for 78- to 98-foot yachts. Its cruise speed and top-end are reportedly 11 knots higher than the average. Twin MTU diesel engines with a combined horsepower of 4.870 hp quickly push Movin Day to that speed, but dialing the throttles back to 34 knots will provide a range to around 330 nautical miles. Notable technology onboard include:

  • Ritchie magnetic compass
  • Seakeeper gyrostabilizer
  • MTU engine displays
  • Two Garmin displays
  • Riva ships systems control display
  • Two Lofrans anchor-chain counters
  • Engine ignition panels
  • Furuno depth sounder
  • Furuno autopilot
  • ABT-TRAC bow/stern thruster control
  • Vessel alarm panel
  • Garmin VHF radio

Movin Day’s decks are covered with non-slip teak with plenty of space for guests to catch a few rays of sunshine. Climb up to the open flybridge and sit with the captain on a long cushioned bench-style seat at the centerline helm, relax on the sunbathing pads abaft the helm, or sit in the aft-facing C-shaped cushioned settee on the front of the flybridge. The cockpit offers seating on a C-shaped settee as well as folding chairs, along with a table and a small fridge, creating the perfect venue for relaxed alfresco entertaining and dining. Looking for a little privacy, walk around to the foredeck where there are more sun pads and a dinette with built-in settee. Take a dive into the ocean off the swim platform or open the garage and take out the 2018 Sea Doo for a spin.

Need a break from the sun? Step into the air-conditioned salon. A stainless-steel framed glass door leads into the elegant space.Front windows allow natural light to flow throughout the salon, highlighting a harmonious blend of wood, leather, and polished stainless-steel. Guests can relax on three “White Arctic Sea” leather sofas by Knoll or have a  snack at the dinette while cooling down. A dinette to port has a glass and leather table that extends to seat up to eight guests on “Donald” leather chairs by Poltrona Frau.

The galley is forward of the salon and a dining area is down a few steps on the mezzanine floor. The galley is cozy and well equipped for meal prep.  It has a dual sink, LG Microwave oven, four-burner Miele cooktop and Miele oven. Cold goods are stowed in a General Electric side-by-side refrigerator/freezer while dry goods are stowed in cabinets and a slide-out pantry.

After a long day on the water, owners and guests can relax in one of four en suite staterooms. The master stateroom has a king-size berth with nightstands on each side as well as a carpeted sole. Hanging lockers provide plenty of stowage space, plus there’s a walk-in closet and a vanity to starboard. The head has a marble sole, marble vanity with double sinks, bidet and a walk-in shower. Two guest staterooms have queen-sized berths and a third stateroom has twin berths. Crew quarters are also available for up to four crewmembers. When not in use many owners use the space for extra stowage, including a few teenagers who are looking for their own space.
